Hello, I'm Melanie Newnam

I am an integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am a private practitioner and work part-time as a counsellor at Kings College London University, supporting students. My approach is to work together to set goals and introduce techniques to assist you in making the changes you believe will improve your life.

I work with adult clients who may be experiencing common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, acute stress/burnout and anxiety.

When I'm not working, I volunteer with a local girls’ network charity that supports and inspires disadvantaged young teenagers. I am also a trained SHOUT crisis volunteer.  I create a healthy work-life balance with my love for sports, and can often be found at my local golf club.

Let's Work Together

Calumny Winder: Psychotherapist

Mel is everything I would want in a therapist; warm, supportive, but not afraid to challenge a statement or ask a client to question an assumption. She sees what is most important for you in hte moment and acts on that. I have learnt a lot from her.

Nazish Kazmi

I have worked with Mel for over 2 years now, and have learned much from her vast knowledge and experience in mental health. She will offer you a safe space with warmth and empathy where you will feel heard and held working towards your goals together.
